Your perception is inaccurate. All that’s in the main bag is a puffy jacket and puffy pants, rain jacket and rain pants and what’s left of my kill kit. Why you would question something that you aren’t using is beyond me.
This is what’s in the bottom of the pack
That’s a trash compactor bag...
Both. Boneless this year’s rifle and last year’s moose, Bone in archery bull. All depends on how much time I have on the kill site with the day’s temperatures.
What 6-10 inches? Two layers of pack cloth isn’t even 6mm. That’s all the distance is from my meat bags to my frame. Now if you mean 6-10 inches from the bottom pack, I prefer having the weight higher towards my center of gravity.
I recently returned mine after two weeks. Every time I adjusted the brightness I had to re-enter my cartridge profile. Then there was the ranging issues which I won’t get into.
So that caused me to focus on the app and use my old range finder for my hunt last week. Unfortunately, this revealed...
Yea I don’t get the load shelf or putting the meat between the pack and frame.
When I’m hunting I have some items in the bottom of my pack bag. This is usually rain gear and puffy jacket and pants, and food for the day. If I put the meat bag between the main pack and removable talon pack it...
I tried Wrangler ATG pants this year with no issues and great options for people who are taller than wide.
However, when it got hot third rifle and packing my bull out I was sure missing my original Prana convertible’s which I usually wear in the woods from scouting to 4th rifle. Not budget...
Awesome it kept all my profiles intact now I’ll have to see how long it lasts, hopefully more than two weeks.
So back to my op
How do I keep my settings m/US it keeps reverting back to yards/us every time I exit the app
I’ve been using a cheap BSR for years without issue. If I’m dealing with negative degree weather pretty common after 4th rifle, I will put the whole canister inside my puffy while I’m getting my meal stuff together and that seems to be enough. I use an aluminum foil wind screen and base to...
I’d skip the 100 lb loads and go with whatever pack suits you.
I’ve packed multiple elk for me and others and even with my moose last year I never packed 100 lbs and I take everything neck, shanks, flanks, heart, etc…. Long term your body will thank you right in that 50-60 year range
The way I understand it is if you go into ballistic calculator and then settings you can choose weather for nearest weather station or manual for obviously manual inputs. So I don’t think a manual entry should have any effect when I go back to the weather station mode.
See here:
If my...
I have been having troubles with the Revic ballistic calculator weather system. Before I went out hunting it seemed to hit the local weather station and adjust, but now it’s not even close. What have I done?
An accurate prehunt weather reading:

And what it really...
I’m on my third little spotter in approximately 10 years. I really liked my first 11-33. The replacement was okay. Then the next replacement 13-39 was okay, but it sucked that scope 2 went out on a high country archery buck tag this year. I tried to sell the third scope NIB and get that new Kowa...
Really. How far out are you really using hold overs. Just give yourself some credit and practice. You really only need to remember one. It’s not that hard.
False.
Just be consistent and know your dope.
If you don’t want to max your power SFP scope choose a power that you will always use on that scope for stadia holdovers like 6x and learn your dope at that power and the lowest magnification. It isn’t that hard if you like shooting. Just be...
