Like new Timberlines, size 40 Regular in lead color. Nothing wrong with them they’re just too big.
Would trade for same or similar pants in size 38. Including Stone Glacier, First Lite, etc. just need a late season pant that fits!
Or $115 shipped
Thanks for the advice! I knew we were above them, and they had plenty of browse and water within the timber to keep them out of the open. There just wasn't another open area around to spot them!
Unsuccessful this time but here's a little recap for those interested:
Background:
I usually prefer solo hunting but a group of buddies from work were wanting to do a group camp, 2 guys were bowhunting elk while me and another guy were on the hunt for bucks or bears. I didn't have a chance to...
That's not as exciting as a shiny new sleeping bag that will guarantee that I'm able to spend 69 days in the back-est backcountry, enabling me to kill a slammer every season... haha
This thread is mostly weird with a little bit of worthwhile banter. Lost me once it started getting personal and posting the guy's house. I understand its not difficult to find this information but I also believe in a man's (and family's) right to a little privacy.
Poacher or not that's some...
Nice work, man! I've been kicking around the idea of (re)learning how to sew and doing custom pouches and things like this. I noticed that you're right down the road from me here in WA. If/when I decide to start, maybe you can learn me a thing or two!
Picked a random basin to scout a couple July's ago, hiked in at night and it was a painful 4,000' gain in a short 3 miles. Camped in the first meadow we came to once we reached the alpine, setting the tipi up so we could glass and have coffee in the morning. Up at 4:something to beat the sun...
The gun actually sits in a kydex holster that I took the hardware off of within the fanny pack, with one in the chamber. I run the zip all the way over to one side and the holster is secured to a loop on the inside so I just zip and draw. I know my way around a pistola and have trained to the...
List has been updated, including a Soto windmaster and titanium pot (-7oz), X-mid setup (-12.5 oz). Much lighter Tripod is on the way and I think the next step is a quilt and better pad.
I dog on freshwater fishing in favor of saltwater but I do still enjoy catching trout and salmon. Pics to prove. I’d still trade these for some healthy redfish on the fly or kayak trolling for sails or kingfish!
Solid points.
I’ve got some of your recommendations on the way or in the cart. Looking at the Nemo Tensor all-season paired with a Featherstone Moondance quilt. Also about to pull the trigger on a carbon fiber tripod, blackovis to save money or try to find a deal on a used Aziak.
Thanks for...
I know this is an old thread but I've used an Anvil Horn for 4 or 5 years exclusively and love it! I'm a thicc-er fella and I can roll around and side sleep no problem. Only gripe I have is that it's pretty heavy for a down bag.
