We got our (now) oldest dog when my last dog was 16. Brought home a 12 week old pup, & they eventually became friends. I'm absolutely convinced the old dog trying to keep up with the new pup helped extend her life (we lost her last year when she was 19 years old).
That "new pup" is now 4, & we...
We use the SportDog underground fence. Had it for 4 years, successfully using it on dog #3. Upgraded to a 14ga wire after fixing breaks caused by frostheaves 2 years in a row.
Yellow dog has the original "fence only" collar, with a different e-collar we use in the field. New black dog has a...
My best advice is to diversify...find things that will sell/attract folks over different buying seasons. An area close to both a metro & wilderness attractions would allow you to cater to the biggest groups of consumers.
Certified weed-free hay is (was?) required for horse camping in national...
Found it, read it, disgusted by it. No way in he]] I'd let that man mentor any hunter.
Seriously wonder how many animals he & his have wounded & not written about...
Aside from AVB claiming she was shooting ftom 630 yards, is there any mention by anyone else (including Rachelle & crew) regarding how far her shot was? Her statement posted early on in this thread said Easton ranged AVB's shot to be ~1000 yds when they got to where the deer had been shot. Just...
She said something about Rachelle's "female emotions" or some stupid crap like that. She's the kind of female that enjoys tearing other women down instrad of boosting them up...to be totally cliche about it.
Totally turned me off from anything either one was saying. Add to that the dude jumping...
40x60, loft, sink/toilet, plenty of electrical outlets (110 & 220), big door, walk thru door(s), reinforced shelving, workbench (or two)...being able to keep all your finishing & framing supplies organized takes space. Make sure it's wide enough to pull in your trailer & load all your stuff...
Read it. Only 17 (14?, can't recall the exact number, but it was less than 20) were vaccinated, and they were of various ages, weights, & co-morbidities. As a longtime scientific journal editor (I get to decide if papers fly (get published) or die), the "statistics" that "support" their claim of...
Organic production systems can be real bad when not thought out:

I dodged the bullet when they first started this farm. I worked for SDSU & was urged by my...
Cold bore MER on an average day, with MY rifle (Savage 300 WinMag), is around 450-475 yds. Due to some health issues, I need to shoot something with less "kick" (aka. NOT my rifle 🤨).
Tikka 6.5 Creed (see Fatcamp's post)
595 yds
No wind
Prone
Hand loads (again, see FC's post)
I think I missed...
Thanks!
The scariest, most ironic, part of this story is the fact that between the two of us, my husband and I have 80 years of wandering & not getting lost between us. I grew up as a wild child in rural America (allowed to wander at will), & he grew up a wild child in urban America, & both...
Due to scheduling conflicts, I got to hunt my fall rifle antelope tag alone (with my dog). Was in a fairly familiar area, but still in the middle of nowhere.
I filled my tag, harvested, & packed out on my own (with dog).
If you search my posts you can find the longer version...
We (hubby & I) were 40 mikes from any town, middle of nowhere Wyoming, October deer tag. I was at camp with the dog, he shoots a big 'un right before sunset.
We use zoleo & phones for communication. I leave to go help haul, but forget...
I used FatCamp's nicest glassing tripod to hang my cloth bag of freshly boiled wild plum pre-jelly mess to get drippings/juice... takes a few hours to completely drain & is a bit sticky. Had to wash it (tripod) twice afterwards to get it clean. Not sure if I asked/told him or not.
I think you are wrong here, making the assumption that the only voters postlitively effected by new hunters are the hunters themselves. New hunters who have positive experiences inadvertently influence their social circle, whom also vote.
It's very much like garnering support for production...
Bears are natural. Botulism toxin is natural. Rattlesnake venom is natural....the bubonic plague is natural...
Drives me crazy that many people think "natural" is the same thing is safe... 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
