If you have an infant they shouldn’t be able to reach up high. I would put it up out of reach but within easy reach. In today’s world you never know when you are going to need it. I would/did teach my son not to handle any weapons unless I was right there and in control. He is 32 now and has a...
Great story and pictures. I wish I could get to hunt deer that size. Our deer are smaller but up in NW Tennessee there are some good ones. 3-4 hour drive. Going to have to start back into bow hunting as I really enjoyed it but due to neck and shoulder surgeries I haven’t been able to. Sounds...
Redding Type S die works very good. Adjust neck tension with the bushing. However just a straight full length sizing die works great also. I like the micrometer seating die to adjust cbto instead of the tip.
You can also use the Redding Type S as a body die just have to take out the stem which...
BuckeyeRifleman, Do you think it will be any better any where else? I completely understand what you’re talking about. I got hired into the F.D. in 1987. I felt like I hit the lottery also. I used to get mad when I had to go home from work and in later years I would get mad about having to go to...
When doing volume loads I use the Lanolin/Heet mixture and when I am doing my match loads I use Imperial Sizing Wax . I don’t think it matters as all they are doing is lubing the case but Imperial sure is slick. That small tin will go a long way.
Does anyone know where I can find videos on tying peeps and serving string in on bowstrings? Have been out of archery for a while and would like to find these videos. Thank You..
What mthuntr said. Put them in a ziplock bag Spray 4-6 good pumps, roll them around in the bag, put them in the loading block to let the alcohol flash off, I usually let them sit 5-10 minutes but you don’t have to, and begin sizing. I rinse the lanolin mixture off with dawn and hot water. Works...
I use Redding Type S dies and see no need for the mandrel unless the necks are bent or you are going to turn the neck. I think folks get too caught up in unnecessary steps. The target will tell you if it is working or not. Whatever you do make sure it’s the same thing every time. Consistency is...
Do you have any pictures of how you inletted down in the stock? Does any of the hardware come with instructions? I like to really check something out before I try to do it. Also,The more pictures the better and that really looks good. Just don’t know if I have the gonads to cut on a nice stock..
If it’s not mine I will leave it alone. What you put on the wheel comes back around. Sometimes it comes back fast, sometimes it comes slow, but, it does come back around. Reap what you sow in other words…
The Swede is highly misunderstood. People don’t realize it’s potential and when they do they are really happy with it. The powders and bullets now really make it shine. The 30 caliber with 110-130 grain bullets will really surprise you on varmints.
Why do you want to bump the shoulder if it doesn’t need it. Factory rounds generally have a generous head space to fit in all rifles. To me .008 is a generous growth. Also, your rifle might not like that bullet or powder combination. The Barnes generally like a jump so this might help with mag...
A 6.5 Grendel in the AR. Tears them up with a Hornady 123 ELD M. Last bobcat I shot was 40yds and I shot it too far forward in the shoulders. I carry either a 6XC or 22/250 in the bolt gun. This time of year they are mating and I would rather carry the AR for a possible 2nd shot. It’s generally...
This is why I started wearing rubber gloves. Don’t want to pay for a Dr bill if I don’t have to. I used to not wear gloves but after I got the infection I always do now.
Wonder if he will catch hell from the anti’s, peta ( that stands for People Eating Tender Animals) don’t let them fool you, just like they did Melissa Bachman when she killed an African lion with her bow. She killed it fair chase as they say.
