    Resizing question

Thanks for this. I think it’s just where the die stops. These are brass that have only been once fired.

Thanks for these. Mine don’t seem to be very sharp when looking up close

Random pieces. And I have noticed it in other calibers as well.

    Resizing question

Hey all, I still consider myself fairly new to reloading (~4 years). I’ve seen this line on my brass after resizing and was wanting to get your thoughts on what is causing it and if it’s an issue. I have a few friends that I go to for reloading questions but they are split with the answers...

The 1 Thing You Learned- Bear Hunting

A little of both. It depends on the area or time. If I'm in a new area and not sure what's around, I tend to glass for a while then move and glass more. If I'm in a regular area and know a bit about how the bears are acting then I'll glass it until I find what I'm looking for.

The 1 Thing You Learned- Bear Hunting

For spring season, hunt all day, slow down, and glass hard. I had always been told to only hunt the evenings. My first year I killed a small bear 30 minutes after first light (I was so excited and she was so pretty I couldn't stand it!). That afternoon I glassed more just to learn the area and...

Longest you’ve ever lived in a wall tent?

I did a little over a year when I was a kid. My family bought a property in the Sierras of CA when I was in 8th grade. We built the house (we built the two I grew up in and my brother's house) and Dad gave my brother and I his wall tent to stay in while we were building. My folks bought a...

    EXO pack durability?

I've only had mine a year so can't really speak to long term durability. But I can say that so far it's the best pack I've ever owned. I previously had two eberlestocks and a horn hunter. I was happy to get rid of them after a few seasons. I'd fight you for my exo!!

    Avoid Burnt Lake Outfitters!

I'm going to agree with GotDraw?. I have seen the OP post questions about this situation for a bit on FB pages and seeking help. True, it is unfortunate this is his first post here. But I will also thank him for trying to spread the word about his experience.

    2021 Rockslide spring bear hunt?

I was planning on leaving may 15th but delayed a week due to HEAVY rains. I was at 5300' and shouldn't have had a problem. One thing I used a lot being out of state was the road cameras. They say the elevations on them and have the image updated multiple times a day. I've called the forest...

    2021 Rockslide spring bear hunt?

I did Idaho this year and had a blast! I will definitely be going back. I'd be really interested in montana or another state as well. This year in idaho I had a basecamp at the truck and then hiked out into roadless areas from there for spot and stalk.

    Bears in the AM

I've only seriously hunted bears for one year now. I killed my bear in Idaho this spring at 0730. The next day we were making coffee in camp and I spotted a big blonde right below is. But working in the woods the last few years I feel like I see a lot in the afternoon. I think bears are out when...

    California bear otc non res

Anyone willing to share some jumping off points? I used to live there as a kid. Still have a place there that's been in the family since 1890's. I have to buy a license to shoot the hogs so I figured I might try for bears too (we don't have any on our place).

    Fire boots - heel question

Unfortunately, boots are one of those you have to put them to work to find out what fits you right. I had higher heeled wesco, hawthorn and small shop customs in both caulks and fire soles until I tried lower heels and fell in love. Had the lows last season and they fell apart really fast. At...

    2021 Rockslide spring bear hunt?

I've only been a part of the forum for a little while but noticed that there was a 2019 Rockslide spring bear hunt. Did I miss the 2020 hunt? Where is the 2021 hunt going to be?

    Spring Bear in Idaho

I went over from Oregon this past spring. What an awesome experience!!! My plans were changed when the week I chose to go received 3+ inches of rain. It's a good thing I waited. On the drive in the road was washed out and we had to camp a mile or so from our intended camp. After talking to some...

    2020 Fat Guy Thread

You guys have impressed me enough to convince me to join! I'm 6'6" and overall a big person, (past semi-pro football player). I looked as skinny as a big guy gets when I was playing and logging at the same time (around 265 lbs.). Getting office jobs and having a son with medical issues (live in...
