Agree. Started with a 35# Sage then got a used Titan II on ArcheryTalk and some new BlackMax 45# wood/glass longs from Lancaster. Don’t feel a need to upgrade for a long time now.
For what it’s worth, I’m a little over a year in. Acting on some initial advice and a conversation with Lancaster, I went with a Galaxy Sage 35# and it was a great way to start. Moved to 45# after about 6 months.
Definitely looking to find a used bow that would be my first compound. Ideally, I can get somewhere to shoot a couple to see what “feels” best. I’m not an overly picky guy. Is testing a must or are there just some manufacturers you can’t go wrong with?
