    I tried it this year on my buck. He was DRT. I usually haven't shot for the shoulder but after this year I may start looking at it more. It is nice not to have to go tracking ;)

    best caliber for coyotes?

    I use a .223. Most shots are <300 yards for us. I just put a new Howa mini together in 223. It shoots well, just need to get it out to draw blood now.

    Arrow selection help

    I have had good luck with axis in the past. went to victory arrows and haven't shot through them yet. Not sure what I will end up with next, but likely will stay with the victory line.

    New Mexico Draw

    Venison Pastrami

    venison pastrami is probably my favorite thing to make with venison. Turns out fantastic and we do the reubens as well. They are awesome. Going to have to put some roasts in the brine!
