Can’t speak for most people but I haven’t used my shooting sticks since I put a good bipod on my gun. Still keep them in my pack for whatever reason but I haven’t used them in years.

Yes, it’s not hard. Closing the deal is a bit more difficult. Go on YouTube and born and raised outdoors videos, they lay out how to do it.

Most elk encounters you will have during bow season something will go wrong. I would say one out of every 6 or 7 encounters has ended with flinging and arrow (for me). You will get better each time with every encounter you have up close and you will learn a lot. Keep at it.
