Rifle and Scope?
I keep thinking I need a "better" sheep rifle setup, but the one I have has killed 12 rams in the last 12 years. Distances from 40 to 425 yards. Its not the most accurate rifle and is difficult to shoot well at longer range, but it hasn't let me down yet. Its also killed probably a dozen... -

Preliminary statewide harvest is 360 rams. I'd expect harvest to be similar for the next couple years, then be much lower for a couple years then bounce back. Hope we get an easy winter. Reports of good lamb crops this year in many/most ranges. -

The sub 50% success rate is having a pretty good effect on curbing NR hunting pressure. There was 50% fewer NR last year than there was 5 years ago. Don't get hung up on score. It doesn't mean chit unless its a really, really big sheep, even then its just your name behind a bunch of other hunters that no one cares about but them. Shoot the one that looks the best to y you/her. Older the better IMO. Make the most out of enjoying the hunt... -

50% success for guided hunts? That's some expensive camping trips. I think it's worse than last year. I don't think we'll see 300. Age of harvest will be really low. Hopefully lamb numbers are looking better. -
