    I’ve borrowed and used it a bit for multigun. I found the eyebox a bit tight and the image quality/brightness lacking at 8. It was much better at 6x.

    Is a short LOP Rokstock an option now? I ordered a standard 13.5” LOP in March, didn’t see shorter as an option. Being short, with short kids, 12.5 or 13 would be ideal.

    Pretty happy with the S-TI. Significantly lighter and quieter than my Q Trash Panda on my 20" 260 Rem. Being 5 oz ish lighter makes a big difference at the end of a muzzle.

    Not sure where you plan on hunting and state laws, but if .223 with 77 gr TMK isn't an option then I'd look real hard at a 6 ARC, .243, 6 creedmore, etc. And .223 to practice with.

    I’ve had my Tikka CTR mag dislodge a few times in heavy brush. Finally lost one. Pretty frustrating. It’s a fairly low profile release latch, but in that thick of brush, strapped to my gun beater it happens. Since then I bought an MDT AICS pattern polymer mag for hunting. It’s way more secure.

    I’ve had a couple CED 7000, and a Pocket Pro. I liked them all until they all crapped out within 2-4 years. Pretty frustrating. I’m guessing the Kestrel would hold up.
