Hello,
I am looking to purchase a black bear and moose hunting gun that will be used for hunting inside 300 yards (as of now), however, I have some areas near by that I can practice shooting 500-600 yards so that I can train to be able to hunt to that greater distance.
calibre will be 300 win...
My uncle used them this fall while moose hunting and had no issue. He used glasses with them.
low light, they are as you would expect, not quite at the level of my MeoStar 8x56, but honestly, perform very well, as well as any 8x42 I’ve used.
Thanks for that, that’s the route I went too. A chose the 6.5x32 because they are very small, and can scan huge areas quickly. Then the 8x56 can be used to find the detail if required. Have you had any fogging issues with your 8x56 on the external part of the oculars? Or any of your meoptas for...
Hello All,
Received a pair of MeoStar B1.1 8x56 Binoculars on Christmas Eve, and I notice there isn’t much said about them on here. So here’s my initial thoughts.
First thing I notice is the case is very well made and I like that the strap can be used on the case or binoculars interchangeably...
Alright, I got to use the binoculars while there was snow on the ground and an abundance of leafless alder and birch. I didn’t notice any CA when I wasn’t looking for it, when I did look for it, it’s hardly noticeable in the centre and noticeable but not exaggerated on the outside of field of...
Another follow up:
After a full day of use, I did notice some glare as I stated before at the bottom of my field of view. It was manageable though and still allowed ease of use for what I chose them for. The sweet spot is around 60% from centre ( a slight move of the focus wheel brings the...
A day after the unboxing:
When inside and directly underneath artificial light I do notice a touch of glare. When outside it was not as noticable.
Looking from the objective back through, it is a perfect circle, but when you look closely you can see the diagonal line of the prism.
Measured...
My initial thoughts after unboxing them, I noticed that there was a small amount of slop in the focus wheel and a touch of a gritty sensation while focusing (I expected that it will get smoother with use and I don’t know how to explain it). I did get to play with the focus and check it out under...
Hello,
If I purchased a used rifle scope from someone in the USA and wanted it to be shipped to Canada, would I require export/import paper work like a new scope? Might seem like a stupid question? But sometimes weird Loop holes exist like this.
Hello Doug,
thank you, I’ve heard great things about it.
I’ve been thinking about going with a specific manfrotto setup though (MVK502055XPRO3) Here in Canada I can get it for 490CAD+ tax and including shipping. I am also in the market for a Kowa BD ii 6.5x32 XD (I can get these for 485 CAD +...
