El Coyote quilt on a Zenbivy light sheet?

https://borahgear.com/ultralightbivy.html With a bivy it keeps your pad and quilt together inside of it and the water resistant breathable fabric helps prevent moisture from collecting on the outside of the quilt fabric. With either a bivy or a zen bivy light sheet it would be paired with a...

El Coyote quilt on a Zenbivy light sheet?

What would be the advantage of this over a El Coyote Quilt paired with a Borah Gear Bivy? Seems like the Borah would offer better protection from drafts and bugs.

    What to do? (308)

The .308 is still a very good and incredibly versatile cartridge and was one I strongly considered with my last purchase. In the end I went with a 7mm-08, the.308's offspring, not because it's superior to the .308 but because it brings back teenage memories.

Looking for some suggestions and input on a new rifle scope with a hold reticle

I have no issues with the fov on the Z3. I’ve considered purchasing the Maven RS.2 2-10X38 (SHR reticle)….and they’re on sale (ends today). https://mavenbuilt.com/collections/riflescopes/products/rs-2-2-10x38?variant=32127979880526

Looking for some suggestions and input on a new rifle scope with a hold reticle

I have a Z3 3-10X42 BRH and use the Swarovski Ballistic App (plug in the information and it spits out yardage for each hold over line/dot....it's simple and straight forward. https://www.swarovskioptik.com/us/en/hunting/mobile-apps

    Maven CRS1

I've been eyeing the RS.2 2-10X38 to pair with a Kimber Montana chambered in 6.5CM (currently has a Burris FFII Ballistic Plex Reticle) but seems I'm always grabbing the Fierce Fury 7mm-08 that has a Z3 3-10X42 BRH.....still tempted while these are on sale.

Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening, Are there any low sodium commercially prepared freeze dried meals options? It seems many are very high in sodium. Thanks

    Fierce firearms carbon fury/rival

Not sure if there is a benefit of one action over the other in functionality....though I believe the Sako actions tend to be a bit smoother. I went with the basic Fury over the Edge as the only difference between the two (per conversation with Fierce) was the Edge has a fluted barrel and...

    Fierce firearms carbon fury/rival

The Fury and Edge use a Sako clone action whereas the Rival is a Remington clone action.

    Scope for .308

I’ve been contemplating this for my Fierce Fury in 7mm-08…..think it’s a good option for a non-dialing option on a lightweight hunting rifle. https://mavenbuilt.com/products/rs-2-2-10x38?variant=32127979880526

    Fierce firearms carbon fury/rival

If I were smarter I would have thought to ask as I ordered a 7mm-08, which according to there website, isn't a chambering offered in the Fury.

    Over bags - school me.

Here is a quilt layering temperature chart from Enlightened Equipment. In theory it is better to layer a synthetic quilt over down as it will pull the moisture to the synthetic layer. Even though the title says sub-zero the chart even shows what temperature rating two 50 degree quilts become...

    Neoair XLite Women's

My discontinued 66" Women's Neoair XTherm has a higher r-value than the Xlite and weighs only 1.5oz more so will continue to use it until it's no longer serviceable......then will more than likely go with the XLite and supplement it with a closed cell foam pad when needed to boost the r-value in...

    Neoair XLite Women's

I'm 5'5" and use a discontinued 66" Neoair xTherm which has a high r-value and weighs 14oz. That said, I'm an ultralight backpacker and many years ago tried the whole torso pad, frameless pack under the legs, ect...and the minor weight savings wasn't worth it in terms of comfort.

Tent with a view - something you can leave open in the rain

I believe the Tarptent Double Rainbow and Lightheartgear FireFly both can be setup with the the vestibules in porch configuration which will give ventilation and views in the rain. https://www.tarptent.com/product/double-rainbow/...

    Reliable non-dialing scope

I don't dial and prefer a BDC reticle and have a Swarovski Z3 3-10X42 BRH Reticle (12.7oz if I recall) on a Kimber Montana and have had no durability issues..... I recently purchased a Fierce Fury 7mm-08 and am looking at the Maven RS.3 2-10X38 SHR Reticle (12.4oz)...

    New Fierce Rage

As the Rage will be in the Edge series it should be based on their Sako clone action. It will have a Bix'n Andy trigger and bipod rail and am guessing it shaves weight by using the titanium action (believe this is an option). When I was corresponding with Fierce I believe they said the starting...
