I know it doesn't look like it should work. When I first touched it in store I thought no way. Frame is to small. When the man in the store put 60 pounds in it, I was skeptical enough that I did not bother properly adjusting the pack. Beyond that I put all 60 pounds in bottom of bag instead... -

Went to the store yesterday. Bought both packs. My out of box experience with those packs are far better then out of box exeriences with any other pack I ahve tried. Do have a couple question marks about both systems. Those will be answered with time. -

What and how do you carry your sidearm in the highcountry?
Carry mine vertical in a homemade leather bag with cover flap. Also holds extra mag. Sits just to side of bino harness. I spend time horseback in dark so under harness don't work (bangs off saddle horn). Persoanlly do not care for open holsters. Partially for limited carry options... -

This problem with ye old inner web. Recon I did poor job of explaining. Without going into huge drawn deal. I thought this thread was about bucks on way up. Not way down. 2 different things. -

Pretty easy to tell that's a old buck on his way down. Not on his way up. Talking about bucks on way down and bucks on way up are entirely different conversations. -

I've seen and have harvested lots of mature bucks that are small. Which is not what I said earlier. -

I do agree that in some areas buck won't ever hit that mark. I also know areas where bucks hit that mark early and fairly often
