another vote for the lite outdoors stove. Love mine. I do not have experience with SO or Argali stoves though, so I can't say better or worse. just a fan of Lite Outdoors.
Hello all! Looking for fellow hunters in Minnesota, southern MN specifically, that love to go out west to chase these awesome creatures we all love. Hoping to share some stories, and potentially even find someone to go to the mountains with! Love hunting alone, but sometimes velvet muley stalks...
Great thread topic. Love seeing pictures and hearing stories of close encounters, also brings back memories of failed stalks. Early Sept. I was trying to tag my first archery velvet high country muley. After knowingly blowing out his buddy that was a beauty of a 4x4 at 160 yards, I proceeded to...
Stan onnex for me. Started with it through winter at leagues and been hitting local 3d's with it this summer. Absolutely love it, my first thumb button. Can and mostly get a nice surprise break (still practicing) but also at 15 years from a tree I like the ability to punch it if need be real quick
I'm a fan of peak myself. Admittedly I haven't tried evry single brand out there, but from the 3-4 brands I have tried Peak is in the lead for me. They all have good options with good flavor and will get the job done though
Another vote for upgrading binos. Integral and used much more then spotter glossing. Both here in the midwest and out west looking for high country muleys. Tripod for glassing is definitely recommended as well.
Good to hear, how do you like the octopeak? I've had my eye on that one but just wanted to hear some good things about them before digging into them more
Anyone use Luxe tents? Buddy of mine tried to buy one a few years ago, but it never came after 6 or so months and ended up having to get money back from his credit card company (thankfully) after they went dark responding to him.
Was chasing bears for the first time in montana last spring May 8-17 and didn't find much success. For people more experienced than myself, what do you think the best time of spring is generally to get on bears? I know this will vary widely on year to year weather, but in general what do you...
Was it cold and windy? 🤣 I've used that before and completely agree. Buddy of mine doesn't glass for more than 10 minutes without doing that exact thing
Hey guys, heading into central CO this year. Have some general questions but dont wanna get ripped apart by people in forums. Would anyone thats seasoned mule deer hunter (early archery) be willing to DM me to have an actual conversation?
I too will be up chasing velvet with archery tackle. Have gone on a few trips to utah and montana for mule deer with good success, but have been disappointed so far with the lack of response on informaiton from both a CO game warden and local wildlife officer. Might be going in blind and solo...
