Swampdog, another Georgia boy here. I'll be heading to Southern CO. to hunt September 9th. Not sure when I'll be returning. Curious what part of Georgia you're from? Shoot me a pm.
Desk Jockey, does that double have straps inside the case to secure the bow? If not, how do you keep a fully rigged bow with an attached quiver from flopping around inside the case during transport? ie, baggage handlers.
I need it to fit with the quiver attached with arrows in it. I found a couple of cases that are deep enough but don't have straps to hold the bow in place.
I have a vxr 31.5 with the Mathews attached quiver. Is there a bow case out there with straps to secure the bow inside the case that the bow will fit in? Must be durable for flight. Skb 4214 will not work. Not deep enough.
Thanks for the responses, I've only hunted elk a couple of times. I had a chance to scout the unit i drew and found 2 different wallows that we may set up on if things are slow. I am trying to figure out the best approach on one of them as an elk could possibly come in from any direction.
Are elk as bad to cut your trail as whitetails? I've been busted more than several times by whitetails smelling my trail into a stand even after spraying down, rubber boots, etc. Does your approach to a waterhole or wallow matter as much as how you access your deerstand?
I had to give up running over a mile or 2 because of a bad tendon in my ankle so i started riding a mtn bike and running hills. When I ride i make sure it's intense. I've been riding for 4 years and there's no doubt it's been better on my joints.
