I decided I will buy the redcliff lite, with an SXL stove. I am going to upgrade the stove pipe to be 1 foot longer to help get the embers a little further from the tent. Also going to purchase the line locks to help with ease of setup in some areas. Not going to get door screen. Will probably...
As far as lite or standard with double doors. I’m torn. I’ve heard both arguments. Slept quite a few nights in my brothers double door cimarron and just not completely sold on it. But with 3 people I can see it coming in handy.
The other argument is the 5oz saved is equivalent to upsizing to...
I was thinking when I order I should request at least a half foot longer stove pipe. Keep sparks up a little higher. I wish they still made a dyneema version but I’ll have to take what I can get lol.
Getting ready to order a redcliff with a stove mostly to be used for 2 guys with the occasional 3rd. Maybe a few time scouting with the wife and a couple kids.
What features are must haves and what could you live without. Would you get the sxl stove or stick with the large. Stove pipe length...
I decided on the 10lb dual gear stuffer. I like that i can do all the different sausage sizes. Don’t feel like 5lbs will make or break it for me. Plan on involving the kids to have them start learning. Just waiting on a 25% code. I waited too long to order in October and let that code expire.
I actually love cycling and haven’t been back in the saddle for a while. 3 kids, commuting for construction along with all the hobbies makes you sacrifice some of the other hobbies for sure.
So who here trades one addiction for another as each season ends??? I’m a big game hunter before all else, but when deer season ends I become a die hard duck hunter. Then as soon as that’s over it’s time to start bass fishing. Once I’m tired of that, it’s time to start hiking/ scouting for...
Anyone ever try the double 1/2 stuffing horn from the sausage maker? Was thinking this might work on the 15lb lem stuffer without building too much pressure. I figure the extra tube would relieve some more pressure
I could also just get the 15lb single gear then get the 5lb for snack sticks. Just seems like an extra unit for no reason. Jerky cannon makes snack
Sticks but it’s a lot of pumping and I’m sure the stuffer is more uniform
Do you feel you have to reload too much when doing larger sausages? I feel like thats the compromise though being able to do both snack sticks and bratwurst and whatnot
I have a 150qt Coleman that I put a refrigerator seal and nice hold down latches. Then I put reflectix (foil bubble wrap insulation) on the inside of cooler. Have kept ice for 2 weeks that way. I usually freeze gallon jugs of water for block ice. But I have kept meat frozen in there for at least...
I’m in the market for a sausage stuffer. Want mostly for bratwurst, breakfast sausage, and snack sticks. Looked at the meat your maker 15lb stuffer but their customer service seems hit or miss. So now I’m considering the 10lb big bite dual gear from LEM. Wanted the 15lb mighty bite but it’s not...
