What do you all look for in e scouting for second rifle season in Colorado mule deer?
It seems like it could be very weather dependent as to elevation and terrain they're in.
Also, how does the OTC elk hunting pressure affect you if you're in a draw unit for mule deer. For example, I'm...
It might also depend on your weather and soil type. If you have a lot of mud a skidloader is useless without tracks. However mud and snow can freeze in the tracks and render them useless. If you do a lot of mowing I wouldn't want to sit in a skidloader for that.
I was in your shoes and have a...
I've used them with success on whitetails. Usually it's a pass through and they go down quick. If you angle hard into the opposite shoulder and hit the knuckle or scapular spine it may not pass through
Anyone using this combo? I would prefer to shoot behind the shoulder and not waste any meat. Also, not looking for lead rounds that grenade either.
TIA
I like hunting out of blinds but I can't find one that lasts. I've had a double bull torn up by the wind and a xenek rip out the stake loops.
Any suggestions? Muddy? Barronett? Rogers?
Need to put it up for a few months in the fall and actually last.
TIA
Does anyone have copper bullets that cause damage similar toa Berger VLD or ELD M? Most of them seem to stay intact and have high weight retention. Looking for DRT kills on whitetail without spraying lead all over the meat
