    .243 deer bullet choice

    Yeah they definitely expand. The 95gr combo has worked well for me. My 30-30 shooting 150gr power points leaves a gnarly hole. I think the lower velocity plus soft bullet just match well and it’ll knock the plug out a deer.

    As mentioned above. Unless you just want copper for other reasons, there’s nothing wrong with traditional lead cup and core bullets. The 30-06 velocities are within the range of lead bullets being extremely beneficial. Fast enough to hit like a hammer, but not to fast the bullet won’t hold up...

    What is recoil like between the 2? I’ve shot a 7mm-08 a few times, but have never fired a 6.5 cm. I’m not the best at judging recoil because I’m not a small guy. I can just remember the 7mm-08 as being a snappy recoil.
