Haven't bedded mine yet but I plan to fully bed the action.
Also, I was able to easily adjust the stock to float the C6 barrel. Wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.
I don't have any experience with the Blacktooth but just received my Bastion back from Peak 44 with a 13.5 LOP. and it's awesome! Excellent fit and finish. The only issue I have with it is that the inlet doesn't provide for free floating a Carbon 6 barrel with the straight taper. It's locked in...
Agreed. LOP is BASIC. He did promise me that it would come back to me 13.5" so it damn better. The frustrating thing is they are sticking to their 90 day timeline again. Really pisses me off.
No aluminum pillars that I could see. I spoke with JD at Peak and he eventually told me that their base LOP is 13.5" to end of pad. I couldn't get a viable answer as to why mine came out 13".
All,
Officially in analysis paralysis. I need to get a good scope on this gun. Custom build 7PRC on a Kelblys Atlas, 21" Carbon 6, Peak 44 bastion.
My budget is probably $2,200 on down. My priorities are reliability/repeatability, weight, mag range 10 min, FFP/SFP (haven't decided), capped...
Yeah that's kind of what I thought. I don't want to be a dick but it doesn't feel like I should have to wait a full 3 months again to get a stock with a normal length of pull
They said it was due to pad length variation but they have that 3D printed pad. I can't imagine there's that much variation.
I need someone to talk some sense into me. I've just received my peak 44 bastion stock to complete my first custom build. The stock is gorgeous however it came with a 13" LOP. The website doesn't list LOP so I guess I just assumed it would be 13.5" which is what I measure out to. JD said they...
Reviving this one as I just received my stock. It turns out that the "Sendero" barrel channel does not fit a Carbon 6 Sendero.. just FYI. I'll have to some carving.
Also, it came with a 13" LOP which I feels really short. The website doesn't list LOP for the Bastion and it's not on the order...
