I have a Tikka 6.5 PRC in a Pure Precision stock. Just ordered a 223 Tikka. Should I toss the same stock on there as well? Pure Precision usually has decent BF deals.
Decided I’m going to build/buy a .22 caliber gun. It’ll be used as a trainer gun, varmits (p-dogs, coyotes) and maybe a short range deer gun.
Cost goes to .223, then .22-250 and then creed.

I had a Seekins Havak Element in 7 PRC and it was a great gun. But when I’d let that one cool and pickup my semi custom Tikka, I had a hard time switching back. Tikkas action is second to none in my opinion. The factory Seekins stock is good, but not great (better than a lot tho). It shot well...
Published ammo speeds are 99% of the time done with a 24” barrel. As he mentioned, subtract X fps per inch. Going with a 20” barrel on a PRC is essentially creating a 24” Creedmoor. If your gun is new, it will typically speed up after 100 rounds or so. My 6.5 PRC Tikka sped up a lot around the...
