I was wondering if anyone has had any hands on experience with this new bag from sjk. I know its pretty new so there is probably not a lot of field time out there but the specs seem really good especially for the price. (20 degree 2.8lbs) as long as real performance matches the spec sheet it...
I use the Carter Wise Choice when hunting and for target I have been using the Scott Ascent. Really like both of them, but if I keep shooting like I am with the Scott I may hunt with it on a few trips.
Been hunting with the Halon 32 since it launched and I really love that bow. I found that it liked the easton axis arrows, if you are going to use the brass inserts go up in spine. I have also liked using the victory vap tko w/ss inserts though I found those inserts like to bend. As far as...
I own and hunt in two pairs of Lowa boots, the Tobet gtx and the Irox. If you are looking for a lightweight and semi stiff boot the Irox are awesome. The Tibets are hands down the most comfortable boot but they are like twice as heavy as the Irox. Both have held up well for the last two seasons...

I've been looking into getting a quilt for summer scouting and early season archery hunts. I've been looking into the S2S Ether Light XT Insulated pad, love how thick it is and I am willing to pack a bigger pad if I'm going to be running a quilt. Can't decided on the quilt to run though...
It really just comes down to how you pack and what kind of system you like to run. For what you described, you really don't need anything more than the Sawtooth 45 but, if you like to pack a few extra creature comforts then get a bigger bag. I ran an 80L bag for everything for a long time before...
