what do you know about tuning saws? You read about the old timers setting the teeth on saws and tuning them and id be interested in an explanation. Think i understand it but will admit i could use some educating
It makes it very simple, quick and easy to dial in the range. takes all of the question/figuring out of MOA clicks. But as mentioned, you have to shoot the same ammo and it doesn't allow for fine tuning the ballistics, air pressure, elevations etc. so if you plan on shooting farther than...
PS and if you want to be successful at elk hunting... stat with unting an area that has a good chance of finding elk.... which is not that hunt unless you know the area well.
Private Timberland that is open to hunt will likely be better. not that they wont ever still be up on the forest but they tend to work down as the season goes on and the cuts on private timber tend to offer more feed. . Burn might be good if it holds elk... but cuts are always where to look...

I don't have enough time or energy to get wrapped up in other peoples drama .. at the end of the day, i don't care who left who and went where or why...
has anyone tried cutting 2 18 or 24 inch pieces of 1/2 inch PVC to put bipod legs in when shooting in tall grass or brush? I need to get out and try it but it seems like you might still be able to put pressure and load the bipod. put the pack at the rear
30-06 , 7mm, 300 win mag, are all universal cartridges. a 243 is NOT a universal cartridge!!!! people may disagree but the Savage combos shoot very well for the price point that they are and they make a great intro firearm on a budget
