I haven't settled on a load but I'm getting close to 3200 on a 20" proof with a can using H4350 and 80 eldm. I didn't have any ejector marks or flattened primers. Barrel is new, still sub 50 rounds on it. I'm going to try and get some 77 tmks this weekend from a buddy.
I ran 143 eldx out to mag length with 42.2 H4350. The Sig 130 ammo shot extremely well. 147 hornady factory shot 0.75" for 5. Almost everything I've shot has been great except for the 95 grain varmit stuff..
Never did a video but compared a labrador to a garmin with 8 different guns. There was under 10 FPS difference between the 2 on each shot, and the garmin picked up every shot, labrador was around 20%. Probably due to change shooters and guns, movement.
I had a similar situation about a year and half ago, except my wife isn't allergic, but didn't want a dog that was shedding. Long story short I met with a breeder of Deutsch Drahthaar a couple times, and met the mother, and saw pictures of the father. Interactions with the puppies and mother...
I shot 5 rounds of it and left the range. Never really shot it again as it was rather slow as far as velocity goes. Obviously this is probably best case scenario, and I would be it would be MOA.
Where was your real world minimum terminal velocity yardage for your chosen bullet? 1780ish, on an antelope at 650. 143 Eld-x. Have a half a dozen shots between 380-460. I'll be honest I didn't do a lot of investigation on bullet performance, either I watched the animal die, or I found it from a...
Shot this cow elk at 200 yards with the 151 Absolute Hammer. Entered through the other shoulder and the main body exited through this scapula, other trauma behind the shoulder was from pedal/pedals. She traveled 75 yards or so before expiring.
Our family got a Drahthaar last summer as a pup. Did awesome pheasant hunting, and does well in the house with my wife and newborn. I know several breeders in MN.
A buddy of mine runs springers, and from all accounts being around them are just as good in the house around kids and family. He is...
I have two. Both shoot well. I haven't had any issues from the stock or anything like that. Both mine lock up tight and don't move. Folding it is tough at first, but after you get the hang of it, it's fine.
My 308 shooting copper did foul pretty bad once, but after I removed that it's been great.
