    Fun with 3D Printers

Good luck with it. This is the 2nd iteration but the 3rd print of that iteration and I had to "adjust" it quite a bit for it to even fit. But at least now I know what my final measurements need to be.

    Fun with 3D Printers

I'm new to CAD and to make it more complicated my machine is a Linux build. I've been trying FreeCad and my first design was a digiscoping adapter for my bausch and lomb elite 15-45x60 so I could use my outdoorsmans adapter. Basic design but I couldn't figure out the pocket holes so i cut those...

Galaxy S21 and Outdoorsmans Digiscope Adapter

I recently upgraded my phone and now I am wanting to get my digicope set up back together. Any recommendations on case or which camera to center the adapter on?

    Game Bags

I made this for a co worker. He wanted something to attach to his existing badlands 2200 to make the haul out easier. Working on one for his wife to go on her Diablo dos. Used 2.2oz hex70 for the majority and 1.69z hyperD for the front part to make it more breathable. Came out at 13oz Sent from...

    Laminated Cordura

You might try Whisky Two Four (https://wtfidea.com/) I know he sells laser cup Hypalon and he sells laminated cordura. I dont think he has laser cut PALS laminate though.

    Changing ergonomics of a stock

I used an epoxy called PC-7 after roughing up and giving some mechanical lock - in my case some small holes like I would bedding in synthetic- to thicken the grip and add texture to the foreend of a Savage syn stock. Been on 5 + years. I used a kydex cheek riser for the comb though. One tip for...

    Water bladder on bino harness

Looks like it would be a good setup. The only reasons I went the way I did were to lower the profile under my pack and have less sets of straps on my shoulders.

    Water bladder on bino harness

Thanks! Used this weekend on a coues hunt and it worked well. I found I drank more water while glassing than I used to both my hydration bladder inside my pack.

    Water bladder on bino harness

Finished the entire rig, just in time for a hunt next weekend. I have worn it on a few 2 mile walks full - sans side arm - under my loaded pack and it was comfortable. We'll see how it goes on a real hunt next week.

QD sockets on side of stock

I use it for both, I shot my elk 2 years ago using it. wasn't a far shot, but I was on my knees and had no way to stabilize without it. Worked great. When I an slung up I can take my shooting hand off the rifle and it won't move.

QD sockets on side of stock

I thought that I would, but I end up using the ones on the left most, I really have not used the bottom much, but they are light and it doesn't hurt to have them all.

QD sockets on side of stock

I ended up putting qd's on both sides forward and aft and in the bottom. The front for me are set back a little because I also have a rail for a bipod. As for the rear that are about an inch forward of the recoil pad, but i centered them vertically. I looked at the ching sling, but ended up...

    Bogpod trekking pole mod

Makes sense, another option maybe depending on how the yoke attachment is inside the leg tube. Maybe hose clamps with thumb screw (https://www.amazon.com/Hose-Clamp-Key/s?k=Hose+Clamp+Key) around the tripod leg.

    Bogpod trekking pole mod

Why not just replace the bolts that holt it to the yoke with something that can be used with bare hands like a bolt and wing nut, or a quick release bolt like on a bike?

    Working with Hypalon

Not sure I would use Hypalon for that, but if you decide to sew it, a walking foot works best. However going old school I found a trick for a non-walking foot machine. If you put blue painters tape on the surface that will contact the Hypalon while sewing (i.e. needle plate or presser foot) it...

How to Add Weight to Your Pack?

I did this too, but I poured it into molds that I made for 25lb weights. I have an old surplus pack i use just for training so the weight just stays in there. To do anything in between 25 and 50lbs I use dumbell plates inside as well. Averaging about 4 mi two to three times a week around the...
