    Deer Hunting in Michigan

Someone mentioned the eastern U.P. Don’t bother. The U.P.’s deer numbers are at a 100 year low and not coming back anytime soon. I live in the area. When I say low, there are big woods areas with 0-3 deer per square mile. I grew up hunting in Washtenaw Co. Personally, I’d drive west and...

    Tire Chains

Never had them and need to buy them still. A couple years ago, I ended up on a road I’d never been on. Crested a hill on some greasy red mud right after a very light rain and there was no turning back. Most nervous I’ve been in my life. There was a cliff just to my right 10 feet that was...

120g Nosler Ballistic Tips for Sheep

Here's a pic of the jacket on a 120 (right) vs. the 140 (left). The 120 is obviously a stouter bullet with a thicker jacket. The designer did this intentionally. He planned to hunt "larger" game with it.

    MR Beartooth and Sawtooth ???

I got it figured out. My Beartooth bag came without some extension straps that have buckles. There were supposed to be in the lid (during shipping from the factory). MR customer service did me good and they are sending me a set. I thought I had something mixed up on both bags. My thinking...

    MR Beartooth and Sawtooth ???

I’m guessing my Beartooth bag was shipped without the male buckles that attach here. See pics below.

    MR Beartooth and Sawtooth ???

I’m starting to think I’m missing a buckle. I guess it doesn’t matter on the Sawtooth though as you don’t need the male buckle to go to the front of the pack like you do on the Beartooth. I should mention that I bought the Sawtooth first and the Beartooth bag separate. If I would have...

    MR Beartooth and Sawtooth ???

What are these two buckles for? They are on both the Beartooth and Sawtooth. They are on the backside of the bag. See pic below.

    Platypus Bladder

Thinking I need a Platypus. Which should I be spending my money on? Should I be looking at a different brand nowadays? I haven’t kept up with bladder systems for a while.

    Sleep Set-Up for November

Looking at a November bowhunt in high desert terrain. Lows could be 5-25 degrees at night. Backpack hunt. I need a shelter (wouldn’t mind a floor) and possibly a sleeping bag/quilt. I have a 0 degree bag, but it’s a bit heavy to pack for a 5-7 day hunt. The area will have very limited wood...

    Max points Mule Deer WY

Haha! I have 7 (for a general unit) and was sorta thinking the same. But, with the record number of applicants this year, it’s gonna get scary. I applied for a tag in a different state this year and going off last years draw odds I had a 92% chance to draw. Guess who didn’t draw???

    Hamskea fit on V3

No problem. YMMV. I looked at a V3 this weekend. Looks like there’s not a ton of clearance with my arrows using Blazer vanes. Not sure that’s a 100% though.

    Hamskea fit on V3

Pics to help That’s with a SH Hunter sight. The sight is mounted to the bow with the second to last set of holes. This allows me to use a 3/16” peep at nearly 29” of true DL using 28.5” mods.

    Hamskea fit on V3

Sounds like the cord might rub on a Tight Spot quiver...just a rumor. I know it does on a Traverse if the quiver isn’t slid out quite a ways.
