Asking permission in ND, the only issue I've had with being a Canadian is people initially thinking I'm from Minnesota. Once had a farmer say "OK well go ahead, as long as you aren't from Minnesota" while suspiciously eyeing my license plates.
Its an issue I'm supportive of, we should have full...
This is something that bothers me a lot as a Canadian - I have an easier time going to the USA to hunt than to go outside of my province. We thoroughly enjoy going to ND every year for pheasants, and have done Wyoming for pronghorn in the past and had a great time.
I raised this issue of not...
I think I'm in the same neck of the woods as you, maybe a bit further East. I grew up in Southern Ontario, so learning how to hunt these big woods critters has been a bit of a learning curve, but a super enjoyable one. This buck here appeared on a piece of property I was renting and had hunting...
Vortex - I had a pair of binos spend more time in shipping and repair at vortex than they were in my hands. Now they just live in my truck
Meopta - Excellent helpful service from Erik at Meopta, he answered a million questions and gave really good suggestions for my particular need

Have a look at Thermohair socks, my wife and I would fight over the one pair we (I) had until we finally bought a few more pairs. Hard to beat them in the winter, and they seem to be equal or more durable than any of my merino pairs.
We bought a 10x12 factory second from Wall Tent Shop about 15 years ago and it has served us incredibly well. We've used it moose hunting into December, ice fishing in March, and had it set up all summer this year while doing some construction on our property, just to have somewhere sheltered...
Just to follow up since nobody mentioned it, but for wearing glasses you want to look for an exit pupil in the 20mm range or higher. The more the better. Most 10x42s will be in the 16-17mm range, and IMO its not enough relief.
I tried a ton of pairs about 3 years ago and landed on Meopta Meopro 8x42s. I can look through with my glasses no prob and the optics are great. The second best were the Viper 8x42s but the Meopta optics were quite a bit better.
In the alpha range you can get into a 10x42 with Swaro ELs but...
Absolutely worth it, except don't get hung up on 10x42. There are a lot of tradeoffs between 8x42 and 10x42, and for a lot of people the 8's should be the better choice, but everyone seems to go with 10s. I was the same - always 10x42s, until I decided to give 8s a shot (glasses wearer and...
I shoot 28" draw with 27" Hexx 330s, 75 grain insert and 150 grain points. Usually 3 fletch. Last I had my 70lb Synergy on the scale it was topping out at 67lbs. It tunes great. I'd probably go with the 340s and play with point weight or your draw weight until it tunes.
Highly recommended this dvd series: https://moosemadnessproductions.com/
It's mostly based on Canada moose and filmed here in my neck of the woods, but it does also cover Wyoming and Alaskan/Yukon moose. The production is a bit dated but it will provide you all the info on moose hunting you can...
