    Swarvarski DS 5-25X52 P Review

First of all, this scope is massive. When you hold the box, you expect to pull out a spotting scope. Not only is this scope heavy it is large 15.87” long and has a 40MM tube. I decided this scope deserved a new rifle, so I ordered a Fierce Carbon Fury in .300 win mag. After a quick google...

Don’t buy Binos made for bird watchers

I wanted a pair of top notch binos. I like a 12x50 so I picked up a pair of Swaro EL 12x50’s. The glass is as good as you would expect. However I like to run the outdoorsman Bino adaptor. I had to send them off to get the adaptor installed. That was $100 plus about $100 for shipping when you add...

    BC Guided Hunt

I used to think that a Mountian Goat hunt was unattainable since I am middle-aged and dont have any points accumulated. However, I recently saw some BC guided hunts advertised for around $15,000. This seems pretty reasonable. Is a legitimate Mt. Goat hunt in BC really that cheap? If so can...

    Houston area Western Hunters

Anybody in the Houston area that is training for a backpack hunt out west, and needs a training/hiking partner PM me. Unfortunately I was a little to aggressive with my applications this year and didn't draw any tags out west. I would be happy to meet up and do a training hike and talk western...

Velocity variance from what is stated on the box

I am purchasing a custom turret for a Zeiss V4 on my 6.5 Creedmoor CA Ridgline. I don't own a chronograph, so I did a Trajectory validation at 500 yards and 600 yards. I plug the data into the G7 calculator and it came up 162 fps slower than what is stated on the Hornady box. Is that typical to...

    Houston Area Boot Dealer

I live in the Houston area so I pretty much have to buy all my western hunting gear online. That works fine most of the time, but with boots I would rather try them on. Does anyone know of a store in Houston that carries a decent selection of mountain hunting boots? I'm thinking Kenetrex...

Kimber aint cutting it. looking for something new

So I really wanted my Kimber 84M classic in .308 to work out. I had a goal to shoot 1 MOA out to 400 yards. It will shoot 1MOA from a lead sled at 100 yards. I have not been able to keep that consistency out to 300 yards. I cant send it back to Kimber, because technically it meets their accuracy...
