Thanks to everyone who responded here. I spent a few days with my 6 year old this week in a blind, a stand and on the ground chasing deer but came up empty. It didn't seem to bother him, he was plenty occupied carving his wood pieces we gathered as we walked through the woods.
One takeaway...
First off, let me say that I understand there will be many subjective outlooks on this subject driven by personal experiences. That's exactly what I'm looking for, but instead of just stating your opinion, please provide some context for your answer. I feel forums are good platforms for...
So who do you think voted for it, the citizens of Kentucky?
The citizens of the State of Colorado, with a 70% yay vote did. All before modern media, which only further proves my point.
It baffles me to see people say that social media influencers' actions don't influence people.

Would you say the same for bear hunting after the spearing incident?
The actions of people like him absolutely get other people twisted and those people are the ones responsible for locking hunting up. Spring bear in Colorado and brown bear in Canada ring a bell?
There's a thread on AT about it.
A certain celebrity hunter and his wife's court case and him pleading guilty a few days ago before the Grand Jury trial was scheduled to take place in a few weeks.
The PACER court docs are out there and available for all to see but sadly most won't.
Drink the same crappy pre-bagged Folgers drip for 10 years at work and one day a Starbucks machine shows up? Yes, please. Otherwise, Stocking Mill for me.
As for the thread, Messenger is neat but I really like the nav tracking on my Explorer+. Lets me relive the hunts in the offseason when I...
BG have you compared it to a tape yet?
I recently came across a podcast with Gillingham talking about it which was the first I'd heard of it. He made a good point, being someone needs to release one that is capable of being user-calibrated.
They're like anything else really, they provide data...
Hey Rodney, is any of the manufacturing still done in Indiana? I've read it both ways and was just curious. Looks like Athens is killing it with the Vista series. The Ibex is still the best short bow I've ever shot.
Manufacturers need to start posting factory videos of bows not only meeting their ratings but what the bow is set at to achieve this.
And start utilizing higher quality equipment like radar instead of optical equipment that are super sensitive on light intensity.
Time will tell. The Mike's Archery video review that mentioned the mod issue was edited to remove the mention. The only proof of it now is the screenshot of the text floating around AT.
Should be interesting to see what, if anything, happens in the next week or so.
My wife and kids shoot a Bear X Impact with the Rage Xbow heads.
I haven't chronod it yet but it's rated for 420fps.
My wife heart shot this doe tonight.

Nothing up front except this to hold my wrist sling on. The Prime's balance really well without a stab with the Centergy tech they have and honestly there's no need for one. It's nice not having one in the mountains too.
In my opinion getting a sliding sight is for practicing BUT that one time you need it when hunting and don't have it, you'll regret it. If an extra 10 or 15 yards is the difference between notching your tag or not, I'm taking every precaution to make sure I've got the ability to make that shot...
