I know Stone Glacier rarely ever has sales, and we get the usual 10% at 1shotgear and BlackOvis, but neither seem to be working. I tried a few weeks ago and BO worked, but now when I'm ready to pull the trigger I can't find a deal. If I'm forced to pay retail so be it, but I wanted to check and...
Just chiming in, I've had a pair since April and they've been great. I use them as a trail shoe and will continue to use them for approach this season. Only complaint is the Litebase soles are wearing faster than I'd like. Extremely comfortable.
I ended up with a load at 3.505 coal shooting .5 MOA at 100 yards. Got it dialed in with the kestrel and was getting perfect impacts at 600 with a bit of tuning. Loving the 181’s and RL26 so far!
Sorry to bump an old thread, but I’m look to see if anyone had any info on how much jump the hammers like? I just picked up some 181’s for my 300 WM and I’m looking to find a good starting point. Scored 8lbs of RL26 last week, probably a little slow but it seems to work it most everything...
I have one in 300 WM. It’s a nice rifle but with the addition of the NF SHV F1, it’s quite the boat anchor. Guessing I’m sitting at 10lbs. It’s accurate enough for my needs though, which is elk out to 600 or less. The No2 profile barrel gets whippy if it heats up and strings I noticed on the...
Well I got word that I’m on a 90 day work leave for the time being so I’m not super sure I’m flying in to the Frank as of now. I’ve never chased bears up north, but I have family in unit 2/3/4 area. Any suggestions for a last minute change of plans?
Yea that's a great reference, I'm an IAA member as well. Some of those cameras go down in the winter, and the area is simply too large to have an accurate picture of what's going on between the different stations. I find the most accurate info to be from other pilots flying the Middle Fork or...
I'm still planning on flying into the Frank this season, barring anything weird happening with my job (Airline Industry...)
I'll try to get an updated snow report from some of my commercial backcountry pilot friends soon.
