    Headed out from Alabama. Annual vacation-hunting-camping trip… Any knowledge on Griz up the nine mile area and over towards petty mountain / petty creek ? Never really worried about them but have read where a few at nine mile have been spotted but every few years or so.

    I’m hearing it was a mild winter. Green up coming sooner.. some bears already seen roaming.. what are y’all’s observations or thoughts so far this year? We usually hit 2nd week of May.. but may look at end of April. We usually hunt 4500-6500ft.

    At this point just tell him you want your bear and take it to local taxidermist. I learned I always bring my animals home or ship them.

    Hands down the best experience I’ve had in Alaska! Glassed 2 bears on day 1 shot this one the first 4 hours of my hunt! Not the largest bear but I was on a time crunch and they went above and beyond to make it happen!!
