I’ve got a county line 27 ton with Koehler engine. Bought it used but like new for $700. I couldn’t ask for for any better. I split hedge, walnut, locust, hackberry, ash and elm without issue. TSC runs sales on them and I’ve seen them as cheap as $1,000 on sale.
Also got a 6 lb maul that does...
I’ve got a late 70’s model 70 in .270 that had a heavy trigger on it. Replaced the spring and it’s a dream to pull but it will fire when drop tested on the butt plate. I need to explore a different trigger option.

Before children, at least 50% of my hunts were driving 1-2 hours each way both days for my weekend whitetail hunts. Would also get in at least one week+ long western hunt per year. Trout fish 30-40 days per year from a motel room.

I would be pissed if I spent $800 and that was the outcome. Would rather have a euro mount. Unless the trophy is something I'm willing to spend >$1,000, I'm not shoulder mounting it.
Plano Sportsman trunks are garbage.
I’ve moved to the Rigid XL Toolbox. Believe it has the same footprint as the Go Box and Coho but it is deeper which was a perk for me. I have one for all of my recovery gear and roadside toolkit in the bed of my truck and one that houses my cooking kit/first...

I use Yutrax folding ramps and slide them under the ATV. Have a ~3’ long piece of rope I tie the ramps to the rear suspension of the ATV and away I go.
