    In my opinion if you want the benefits of canvas but smaller size you cannot beat the Wilderness Ridge series made by snowtrekker. Those things are a freaking bombproof palace.

    "While the chances of being mauled to death by a bunny are low, they are not zero" The probability of a grizz in the Belt/Little Belts is higher than the bunny scenario, lower than the SW MT scenario. Low, but significant enough that you do need to account for it and behave accordingly.

    Monos would really push me out of the short actions and into a medium/long with faster twist to fit the heavier bullets. Its the one consistent argument that I see that holds water against the .223/6mm threads out there.
