This is all awesome information and I really appreciate your time to explain this all. On the license I bought a resident hunting and fishing license with just my Texas ID and I have not been here 6 months yet. They just asked for my license and that was it.
Just moved to the great state of Texas from Washington state. Wanted to reach out to any DFW locals and see if I could possibly buy some beers to get any information on hunting here. I am coming from a state with a lot of public land so the limited public land will be something to get used to...
This is a different take on hunting that I have ever read about. While me personally will more then likely never hunt Africa for the reason that I believe you hunt where you live for the sole purpose of meat and not a trophy but that’s just me. It is awesome to here beliefs and myths of hunting...
I did the Alaskan cruise last September, it was awesome. FYI when you go to Skagway I highly recommend the atv tour up in the Yukon Territory, you end up doing it in Canada but it is really beautiful they take you way up to the top of the mountains and you can glass mountain goats and see some...
This is one of the more interesting things I have read, one I didn’t know people sold pins, two what does the bha and or the government give a damn if people sell information. Would I ever buy a pin personally, probably not but who cares if someone is willing to pay for information. Isn’t that...
Glad someone posted this thread, I have an upland dog that and I need to get him trained for snakes since I am moving to Texas this fall and will be hunting quail. This is great info to know. Thanks Muleyfever for starting this thread.

For me hunting is my passion, when I don’t hunt I fish but that’s it. Maybe I am missing out or maybe not, either way sounds like an awesome adventure. I’d say go for it for sure if it’s on your bucket list. One year off of hunting isn’t going to be the end of the world. For me though I could...
For all you north Texas guys who have given me some great info, if you have the time when I get down there in October I’d love to buy you a beer. It’s a ways down the road but just want you to know this info helps me a lot and I want to thank you for it. I will be moving to McKinney more then...
Th
thanks for the great info, I wish I was down there now. That’s one of the things I am most excited for is the longer seasons. You have about 5 weekends in Washington for archery deer, and even less for rifle. Its awesome to hear these great things. I will still always love elk hunting but...
