I have been reading through their info recently and correct me if I'm wrong, but if you buy it through at trust at Capitol you can still have it shipped do your door, correct?
I've pretty much narrowed it down to the Enticer S Ti or the OCL Hydrogen S for my first suppressor.
Contemplating chopping my 6.5 Superlite barrel. It's currently a hammer with 130 TMKs, but I'm not a big fan of the 24" barrel in the whitetail woods. I have a T3 compact 308 with the 20" barrel that is a joy to carry/hunt with, so I'm thinking about chopping the 6.5 right in front of the flutes...
Unless he spun like a ballerina while that bullet was in flight then I am 100% sure that was the case. Not going to burn too many brain cells worrying about it.
Edited to add: I should have added above that the bullet did just BARELY clip the rear 1/2" of the scapula so that would be why that...
Finally I can contribute to this thread.
6.5 CM, 130 TMK, 2700-ish impact velocity.
Tennis ball sized entrance and quarter-ish sized exit. Buck ran 40 yards and died. Not much blood for the first 10 yards and then he opened up pretty good. Top of heart and bottom of lungs were shredded.
TT SS2 for sale. I purchased from Tarptent on their "scratch and dent" list as there is one 50 cent piece sized patch on the main fly of the tent done by Tarptent. Other than that it looks brand new. I ended up going free standing and haven't used this one in the field once.
Can set it up this...
Shot a bear this year with a 150 Fusion out of my 308 and it died very quickly. I JUST got done doing some load development with my rebarreled 6.5 and it shot the 140 eldm well, but it shot the 130 TMK absolutely lights out. I'm going to tinker with the 140 a little more to see if I can get it...
Finally got around to testing the 6.5 superlite barrel on my T3. 140 ELDMs shot 5 shots at about .75", but the 130 TMKs were lights out with 5 under .5". I still want to load up 10 of each and shoot a larger group sample size, but is there any reason to prioritize the 140 eld over the 130 TMK...
Manufacturing something like a contender frame is significantly cheaper to do it via casting and finish machining vs billet machining. Look at AR upper/lower receivers for example. There is a reason why billet receivers are so much more expensive.
CNC run time and tooling is expensive vs. up...
My personal rule of thumb is shooting as heavy of an arrow I can while maintaining 280-ish FPS. Seems like a good balance of arrow weight and pin gap/trajectory.
Don't over think it.
Yes, swapping out a 270.
Good to know. I know the bolt stop isn't a necessity to change, main concern was the mag. Did you keep using the LA mag or go with the M+?
Hi guys, rebarreling a long action tikka to 6.5 creedmoor. Curious if it would be worth it go grab the SA bolt stop and M+ magazine? I'm not concerned about the bolt throw but if anyone has had any feeding issues with the LA stop/mag then I'll swap it over. If not I'll roll as is.
270 is taking the back burner for load development so getting rid of some extra stock.
