Harvesting Fur and Feathers for Tying Flies

One of my greatest pleasures come from catching trout on an elk hair caddis tied myself from the hair of a bull I killed with my bow. To me, it’s like 100 times better with a fly I tied vs a bought fly.

Did you forget your rifle in the Mendocino NF?

Well, this gun is mine. Was bowhunting hogs, have .22 mag with me for coyotes. Killed the hog, laid the gun down while packing everything up. Two hour drive home and went to unload the truck. Two hour drive back to get the dang gun.

    Bolt vs Semi for Coyote/Thermal

Depends on if you are a one shot one kill guy or a mag dumper. Some folks call in two, kill one, then dump 20 rounds at the other as it high tails it outta there. They like AR's. If you like to wait till they stop then kill them, a bolt is fine.

Black Bear distress call. Rabbit or fawn?

It really doesn't matter. Keep the sound going with a good wind. Bear hear distress, whether that be fawn, rabbit, calf or whatever. It's just something hurt they might can eat. Life after stents?

He should be carrying some emergency pills. You need to know which pocket he keeps them in. You need to have a way of calling for help, either cell or satellite. You need to know how to do CPR. Then go at a reasonable pace and enjoy life to it's fullest.

    Life after stents?

Had 3 stents put in at the same time when I was 61. Felt the best I had in long time immediately after. I had them put in on Friday night, released on Saturday, back at work Sunday night. Knock on wood it's been great having an open pipeline instead of running on empty like I was. 99%, 95% & 80%...

Thanks mtnbound. I guess you have to know how to ask. I refined my search and found this: GPS coordinates can be displayed in different formats depending on the source or use. Garmin's default position format is h ddd° mm.mmm. You can change the way GPSMAP® 62, 64, 65, and 78 series of outdoor...

Has anyone made their own Aux fuel tank for a Generator

I replace the carburetor on the generator with a float bowl type. I used a 6 gal diesel jug with a hose to the carburetor. Just had to put the 6 gal jug above (higher) than the engine so gravity would feed it.
