Have some great pac boots that should do the trick. That with good socks and insulated insoles.
Been really considering that incinerator system. I feel like that layer with down underneath and some merinos I’ll be solid.
Probably mostly sitting in the whitetail woods in extreme cold temps. Headed to Alberta in mid November for whitetail so diving down the bib rabbit hole.
I grew up hunting the d zones and they can be very tough hunting but very rewarding and fun hunt. I love hunting California west slope, brings me back to when I was young. The deer numbers low, but guys do figure them out. These guys above are some serious killers that’s for sure. I hunt some x...
I’d find places tucked away ” hopefully ” out of the way of other guys, doesn’t mean they have to be miles into the backcountry either, that have good Food and cover. Little pockets of good habitat. Doesn’t have to be great picture perfect basins because chances are a guy or 7 will be in there...
I have a 300 WM and just ordered some of these. Excited to give them a shot. Has anyone done any killing with them on deer or elk? And have they performed well even at close range?
I have both. Like them both but they are different. Eye relief is much better in the mark 5. But also love the feel of nx8 turret and have the most confidence in it. Both are awesome scopes. Glass is also excellent in the nx8 I know some guys bag on it but they are both clear. Two great options.
Great Info here. First timer here headed to Alberta this November.
You guys just check your ammo in your bags?
Also, with the gun case how many locks do you need on it?
Just making sure I’m on the right page. So we need the declaration form to get in to Canada and that’s pretty much it once...
I hunted with compass west outfitters in 2022. Private ranch unit 36. Was an awesome hunt for late season bulls. Killed a good one. PM me for more info if you want.
