After a pad failure on a recent trip, I picked up a Thermarest Neoair Xtherm NXT pad. I also got some First Lite Corrugate Foundry pants. I really like the knee pads and the way the suspenders fit for wearing them under a pack.
I bought a Leatherman Skeletool for backpacking and hunting, but it's turned into an EDC for me. The knife is just as handy as with a regular knife, plus you have pliers and screwdriver. I bought the bit kits for backpacking and have paired those down to just what I need for my gear.
My 2013 JKUR, had it since 2015, has a 2 inch lift, and some mechanical upgrades to make it more reliable. I don't push it to it's limits to get to where I hunt, but I love having it's off road ability available.
I wear as little as possible and still be comfy. If it gets cold, I'll wear my base layer and socks. Doesn't have to be to chilly for me to have a beanie on. Male pattern baldness means a cold head!
Got my bear tag, I used preference points so I know I'll get my pronghorn tag. Fingers crossed on my first choice for elk! I feel my second choice is a lock though.
