Saw a collared 4x4 chasing a doe hard this morning in NW CO. Other bucks in the area were less interested in other does. Forkies have been sniffing a lot of butts yesterday and today. 2/3 of the guys in the unit are from California. As usual. One of them killed a great 5x4 yesterday and he was...
Not as much rut action as expected here in NW CO. Got a bit more snow today. Some of the BLM roads are nasty. Seen a few small bucks lip curling and sniffing does but not hot and heavy yet. Was happy to turn up some deer on public with all the winter kill in 22/23 but nothing like the numbers...

Can’t say I’m looking to sell any of mine but I too am always looking to add to my JOC collection. A few I couldn’t afford, I ordered from my local library this last summer to read, including Sheep and Sheep Hunting and Hunting the Rockies. Damn fine writing.
