Thanks Black Ovis for the generosity and Rokslide for putting this on, it was a great challenge and I learned a bit about my abilities (which definitely need work). Email sent.

Number 7 is up.
An interesting challenge, thanks Robby for initiating it and Ryan for making it crazy.
I have learned a few things:
1. I am better than I thought I was.
Made a few great shots from beyond my maximum, and a few that were not super, but close enough to make me hopeful (close...
Day 5....
It pains me to have to post this. 33 and half yards, 35o uphill, poor footing again. Line was good for the back of the lungs, just dropped low. I figured out what I did wrong during a few practice draws. Nose slipped under the feather due to the weird body angle, instead of on top...
Day 4 is up, an awkward steep downhill shot. This is an area that I will practice on a lot more. Poor footing, branches to dodge, etc. Like real hunting. ;-)
Very true! Regularly, but not always, my first arrow is OK, but there is no pressure. And usually I have a really good group somewhere in the middle, and I try to end at a high note (this all during one-two dozen arrows, recovering from injury, I have no stamina). But all those arrows don't mean...
My contributions, shooting a 47# RD longbow made by Stalker Stickbows. I shoot a 558 gs arrow.
I am still figuring out what my maximum is, I am hoping I can get good enough to be proficient up to 30 yards, from all angles positions and conditions.
Day 1: This is from around 32 yards. Overcast...
OK I am game, will start after I get back from a blitz trip to the bears... at least we hope the bears will be there.
I will be using a strugglestick. :-)

Came across these antelope on the weekend. Anybody want to wager a guess on the length of horn on that buck? I saw a few more of the same caliber, not monsters obviously.

Well, the last hike into sheep country didn't quite go as planned. I missed the trailhead, ended up in thick bush and steep terrain while climbing high to get my bearings. Then an hour of side hilling and my new boots were telling me I should have worn them a bit more. One more look at some elk...
I put together a short video about a 24-hour sheep/elk scouting trip a few weekends ago. Lesson 1: bring more batteries

Kurt, for shrimpy guys like me, would you recommend a chat before ordering, to make sure all the right gizmos are attached in the right size/thickness? I have trouble getting the scale to read anything above 135 lbs, at 5'7". I can see the challenge in having one set-up fit me and also a 6'5"...
