MV is just over 4000 fps (probably a bit hot). Shot was at 60 yards and unfortunately a bit splashy despite hitting only a rib on the entrance side—no major bones—no exit.
I called in my first bobcat today and shot him with my 17-5.56 (KAK Industry’s take on the .17-223) and a 25gr Vmax.
I’m not sure how it stacks up size wise, but he felt like a hefty boy. The rifle is around 43” long with the suppressor.
I made this padded case last week. Honestly though, not happy with it and will be remaking it sometime after my deer hunt—didn’t even bother binding the interior. Too many mistakes, but I figured out some better approaches for the next one.
Haven't heard anything, but I keep asking them for it. I was an early adopter of the Cross in .308, enjoyed it for a while, then sent it on its way.
I'm hoping SHOT 2025 brings a Sig Cross in 6mm ARC and .223.
Even shorter grass or a small bush can hide them with ease. It's always eye-opening to walk up a mostly open hillside and see beds behind even the smallest manzanita that would totally conceal a deer.
Same view here. I don't understand the kneejerk reactions I see in this thread. I'd like to see some good, small volume, refillable options. CA being the large market that it is, I expect to see some positive market developments as a result.
With AZ fall and winter deer seasons now upon us, and with two months of at least 10-15 min of daily use as well as multi-hour glassing sessions, I thought I would post some quick notes on the Vortex mini Razor big eyes setup from Adam's Adapters. Haven't seen anyone else here using these yet...
I might have been swayed if the bar wasn't quite as high as requiring a percentage of signatures from each of the 30 legislative districts, but 134 went to far as written IMO. It will be interesting to see what happens.
Meh. I voted against 134. I don't want to make it more difficult to introduce ballot measures just because it could impact hunting. That's akin to being a single-issue 2A voter in my eyes.
