I use the same set up in my kill kit and have a folder in my pocket. My Hidden canyon is S90v for the edge retention.
Pocket folder is a Benchmade mini Adamas folder with cruzwear, or Freek with m4.
Its understandable people have attachments to a particular knife they’ve used...
So far I’m liking the Amsteel daisey chain ropes purchased from an Etsy vender. Better than the cam buckles I used for years on the LW sticks

Tried at least a season each of: QAD Ultra Rest HDX, Vapor Trail Limbdriver, Trophy Taker Smackdown, Whisker Biscuit, Ripcord Code Red and Hamskea Hybrid Hunter Pro micro.

The hunting series packs (Metcalf, Marshall, Pintler, etc) have lifters and a guidelite frame. The Metcalf is a tried and true MR design on a great frame. The Pop up is a great idea, but since its in its first iteration with little feeback from real hunters the Metcalf would be a better choice...

For the Benchmade Bugout, get the Rogue Blade Works carbon fiber scales. Makes the knife slightly lighter bit more importantly gives the handle the rigidity it needs.
