OMG. I drew one of the best Coues Deer Units in New Mexico- advice?
I’ve never hunted them in NM but have in AZ. Imo with a rifle it wouldn’t be to hard but with a bow in hand another story. I was lucky enough to take this buck in 2004. Good luck and post pictures and a story.- Maxhunter

Roosevelt Elk
Yep most of the elk I’ve shot have been taken without calling and just sneaking in while they’re vocal. I think it‘ll be a blast hunting a different species of elk. -

I dont understand the hostility towards wolf reintroduction in Colorado
I live in Wyoming and we’ve put up with wolves for quite some time. Like stated they prey on herds pretty hard. I agree. I’ve hunted August but flew into an area that you can hike daily to good deer spots. Most fly in transporters have good locations so you can camp away from known bear concentrations when fish maybe spawning. We rented an electric fence from Kodiak Camps along with a sat phone. Hunting Dark Timber
