    FNG from Germany

I lived in Germany for 3 years over the Covid times. Could never make the required hunting or fishing classes to be able to legally do it so my only opportunities were when I came back to the US. It was beautiful out in the black forest and I really wanted to get some hunting and fishing in...

    Shooting near homes?

I was in a similar situation last year. Opening day late season pronghorn hunt in an area with VERY limited public land. A small herd got spooked to about 100yds of me, easy shot, but there was another hunter about 300yds behind the herd directly in line with me. I would have been shooting...

    Do you hunt from home?

I miss the days when I used to live in the mountains. Easy 30min trips to hunting and fishing spots. Where I live now I can get to coyote areas within 1-2 hours but that's about it for day hunts. The draws for specific units make it really difficult to hunt without significant travelling.

    Mike Tyson VS Jake Paul

The Paul/Tyson fight went about as expected. I was actually impressed with girls, that was a good fight!

    What do you carry?

Glock 43 for me. I got it before the other subcompacts like the P365 came out and can't justify upgrading just yet. If I was starting now I'd be looking at a P365 or Hellcat with a light & optic. In the mountains when I dont have a rifle I carry a Glock 29 10mm. It's a good balance with the...

    When to quit?

I feel you, it has taken me a long time to find success for every kind of new hunting I've done. I've changed my definition of success as well as I gained experience. From just seeing animals, to putting myself in a position to take a shot, to killing something (this is where I am now), to...

    Rucking Gear Question

2nd this. I don't recommend training with vests as it is quite a bit different from a weighted pack.

    When to quit?

Lots of great advice in this thread. My 2c, like others have said I'd think about taking a break instead of outright quitting. Burnout can be a real thing. It might be helpful to really think about why you're hunting. What do you enjoy about it? The thrill of killing game? Being outdoors...

    New Member - CO

Hi all, obligatory new guy post. Ive lurked for a while, and have picked up a ton of good info. Admittedly, what got me to make this post is the requirement to use PMs/classifieds 🙃. I'm from around the Springs, getting ready to transition to coyote hunting now that ive punched my deer tag.

    CO 3rd Rifle Thread

Thank you everyone that posted here, I was following along when I had cell service. The info was really helpful to a new mule deer hunter like myself, I was able to tag out Wednesday. Good luck to all that still have tags!
