    Realistic MOA Expectations vs Marketing

.6" five shot groups is pretty darned good, as-well-as a 1.3" twenty shot groups with factory ammo. Really good for factory ammo actually. FWIW: In shooting, extreme spread is generally referred as the max velocity variance between shot strings through a chronograph, at least for us...

My comparison: Trijicon Tenmile HX vs. Vortex Razor LHT vs Vortex DB Tactical

I struggle with telling the difference with glass quality when trying to freehand rifle scopes. Strapping them to a tripod has worked for me when comparing rifle scopes. Even then, you still get some head movement but can reduce it if you can set the tripod up where you can rest your chin or...

My comparison: Trijicon Tenmile HX vs. Vortex Razor LHT vs Vortex DB Tactical

A big thing that separates the wheat from the chaff is comparing in low light. First and last half hour: before sunup and sundown.

    Best rangefinder brand for longevity????

Leica for me. It replaced a sig 2000 and that thing would never range cows past 600-800 yards, much less smaller animals. I had to have it for the season so used it and didn't send it back... regrettably.

    In vehicle navigation while hunting

It (iphone) has worked great since it's inception on dash screens for me... except the "blinking" in the lower 1/3 of the screen the past 6-8 months. I called OnX about it and they said it was a glitch in the software by their supplier and they are waiting on the fix. Come on, it has been over...

How do you feed your dog?

Our pups get ground chicken or turkey, ground fatless beef, and ground antelope/venison/elk scraps added to peas, brown rice, sweet potatoe and carrots. All cooked. We make enough once a week to last the coming week. They thrive on it. Store bought foods are terrible... even the "healthy...

Browning X-Bolt 2 Speed, 7 PRC Field Evaluation

The ones I have now have been the least picky centerfires I ever loaded for. Very accurate. None are 300 Win mag though. The other two never got a lot of load experience before I traded them.

Kill your dog and your political career at the same time

It is inconceivable in my mind. I saw a guy take a young bird dog out ONCE. It wouldn't hunt and he pulled a pistol out and shot it. In all honestly, I would have put more value on the pup's life than his. It's like killing your kid because they don't hunt. Give the thing away as a pet for...

Browning X-Bolt 2 Speed, 7 PRC Field Evaluation

I have had five X-bolts and five browning shotguns that have been hunted hard... some in rain, sleet, snow. Lots of sand and dust with my X-bolts here in WY. Never had a trigger issue... ever. First I have heard of it.

One of the 10 new Colorado wolves is dead.

They'll spend half a million bucks trying to figure out cause of death when they could have applied it to herd or habitat improvement for native species that create income for the state.
