I got one of these in a trade and I really like it. It's pretty light weight and seems like the perfect size for a late season dy pack. There's no frame, so it's not going to carry a ton of weight. Fair price and made in USA

I wear the Tibet leather lined in 11.5 EE. Great boots, and I have trouble finding comfortable boots that are wide enough. I’m going to the cobbler today to see if they can replace the soles that becoming a little slick.
Congratulations! I grew up hunting the Manistee NF in Lake county and we never saw any bear sign 20 years ago. Talked to some buddies that still go up there and it sounds like they are seeing bears all the time now.
That sucks. I’ve heard that parts of the Cherokee NF are shut down near me in NE TN also but I have not heard anything official from the state or FS. For you guys affected by this, how did they notify you?
Yep same here in NE TN. I haven’t seen any official statements from the DNR, but I’ve heard that some parts of the Cherokee NF are shut down for the season.
I have an Orvis soft shell orange vest that I like a lot. I think it’s called the pro vest or something like that. Very similar to an older Sitka Jetstream vest that I have.
Yeah that would be great to get together at some point. Welcome to the trad addiction! I’ve yet to see another trad bow guy in the N Cherokee NF where I hunt.
Do it. I’m on my 4th or 5th season with mine and I really like it, especially since moving to the mountains. So much better than lugging a treestand in and out every time.
I normally wear a wide and bought the 11.5 standard size leather lined version this spring. I’ve been on a few hikes with them and like them so far. I’d say they are a little wider than average European boots but definitely not wide
I’ve really become a vest guy over the last few years. Our mountain temps can swing over 30 degrees from morning to afternoon and a vest doesn’t take up much room if I need to remove it. I have several, but the 2 I wear the most are a Kuiu Gude and the Filson Mackinaw. FYI, I think Filson is...
I just got the Knives of Alaska Yukon model 2. It’s a Canadian belt type knife with D2 steel. I’m impressed with it so far (especially for the price) and looking forward to putting it to the test next month.
I think you’ll get used to and adjust to a longer bow just fine. My shortest bow is 62” (only shoot longbows) but I mostly hunt with 66-68” bows, even from treestands.
I have a Renegade Non Typical XL compound bow (set up for shooting fingers), SKB double bow case, and 5 dozen 2315 arrows. This is the same model Ted Nugent shot for a few years back when he shot fingers. It’s in great shape and has some really good mojo. Strings and cables were replaced the...
