Split or 3 under how do you roll!!!

I shot split for years, now 3 under. Anyone I teach to shoot it will be 3 under. I agree that after 30 yards it gets tough. I will just have to get closer. :)

Tag stew x 6 years = frustration.

It's going to be year 5 for me this year, not even close yet. I'm thinking the new footed cedar shafts I'm making for my longbow will change my luck! :)

Traditional a handicap?

I also do not feel it's a handicap. It's a choice to make things harder, more like the old days when things were way simpler than today. With the high tech world we live in today, it's nice to grap my simple stick & string & go hunting. I have been shooting trad gear 30+ years & for me it's all...

How long do you hold on target?

I'm around 6 seconds in my shot sequence. I shoot with a clicker to ensure back tension. Sometimes in hunting situations it has to be quicker.

Anyone use the gutless method on their Whitetails?

I did 2 whitetail last year gutless. One for a friend 2 weeks ago. I prefer it now & unless I want to weigh a nice buck i will go gutless.

I shoot 3 under & highly reccomend it for most bowhunting situations. I shot split for 25 years but the last 7 3under.

Personal preference but it does help steer large broadheads like my Zwickey deltas. I do not need to look @ my string to nock an arrow.. could help in a hunting situation.
