I don’t know who Paul is but I would either rake, go silent if he’s within a 100 yards and move up if I can or just do a very small but mad grunt. Just what I would do. The moving up part in all three scenarios if I’m solo without anyone calling behind me. Again, the 100 yard deal also in all...
I carry a couple of different ruger 22s weekly, on the trapline with lots of horseback and ATV use. I’ve gone from an El Paso saddlery tanker to a simply rugged pancake/chest holster. The tanker is super easy on and off but I like how the simply rugged fits better and can go to a belt holster in...
Great list! Not sure if he’s on here but Kenny Fiedler is good if you like rodeo music. Barrel racer land is hilarious.
Stapleton can suck a woke dick. Anti gun coke sacker.
Agreed. Rut hunts, like most rut type hunts can be amazing. Late hunts can be tough if rams pull off and don’t bachelor on the same ranch/ property. But seeing 20 mature rams together is pretty spectacular.
Recommendations for both Major and Carl(mountain Legends) both artists but two different style shops. Carl’s is a small shop with his brother and maybe another hand. Roberts shop is a big with specialists, some guys just doing finish work some just on habitat, etc. I’m sitting here looking at 5...

Chaps are a tough one, and can vary by mountain ranges. But you’re right, to me the hair is half the trophy. I’ve never seen a young ram with long flowing chaps but I have seen old rams with short chaps.
Rub marks are interesting. Many people believe scars and rub marks are from the individual...
If that works for you that’s awesome. But if you’re close enough to tell hair from skin, or a half inch from 3/4 of an inch you’re close enough to tell a lot more about age or size. Might as well just count rings while you’re at it.
My comments and pics are in the 24campfire thread. Good luck...
I did mistype that, it was only 343. Out of the dozen or so I’ve seen shot that one went down the fastest. She spun a 180 and was down kicking. With a little luck I get to see another one go down this year, with my wife pulling the trigger.
