@GODSPEED - The Absaroka hydro bladder pocket is 17" tall by 10" wide and flares open towards the top so it's easier to load. There is a central hose exit in the back so you can go to L or R shoulder strap
Because it doesn't have the tensioners and just the 3 bar attachment it may try to shift upwards. Connecting your load lifters through the holes in the Hypalon frame sleeve should keep it from being able to come off the frame however. Shoot me a PM or email if you have any questions Bcoonce.
Looks good tinker, I would try and pull the belt up until it's bottomed out in that sleeve. Should transfer the weight a lot more consistently now. Let me know if you have any other questions.
@madtinker, check to see if the bottom of your frame is in the sleeve sewn in the center of your belt. Shouldn't be able to see the frame behind your belt like that. Shoot me an email with pics and I'll help you get it sorted out.
Jacob, right now it is only set up to run with the frame. That might change if we see enough demand in the market for an internal framed version but it's too soon to tell.
How many of you guys would like to see an internal frame offering?
That is an EMR 2 with a Longhunter lid. The lid turns into a lumbar pack if you fish the 2" waist belt out of the back compartment but from the looks of it, the webbing may have been cut.
Morning @loco99 ,
Glad to see you are digging the Urban Ruck. You're right on, the side pockets were made to Nalgene specs as I figured it was probably the most widely used bottle with our customers. The problem with sewing in bungie is it can shred at the anchor point which means I would need...
Yep, that's an Gen 2 Xray. If you flip your belt so the tail ends are pointing down, it will reach further down and get your a more comfortable ride height.
@StuckoYota99 - The scabbard was never intended to carry meat in it but you can adjust it up and down and could fit a bunch of boned out meat in there. You will probably run into problems with quarters with the width of the tunnel.
@RhinoKel - The scabbard will work with all of our sling...
@RhinoKel - He filmed that right before we were about to release the Maniml so he didn't want to mention that yet. Those points hook up to the load shelf with 3 bars to the frame from the back of the Maniml. Not sure if we will be adding that type of load shelf on any future packs, depends on...
@Roosterstraw - Yes, it will work with the Hunter frame. Only frames that might get complicated are the first get Duplex frames like the Longhunter (they don't have a fabric casing and the compression tabs are surface mounted on the back) or the Bikini frames.
@Roosterstaw- the top of the frame sheet that creates the tunnel for the weapon to slide through replicates the top of our Duplex / ARK frames. There are dual aluminum stays sewn into the frame sheet to help carry the load and give the tunnel structure. Any Kifaru bag that is designed to go on...
Sndmn11 - Yes, you can run the Load sling behind the bags on the ARK as a load shelf and you can adjust it up higher to the bottom of the SS tracks if you need to get your load higher.
StuckoYota - Yes, Glen had the rifle carry game locked down for a while. Been working on this scabbard for 5...
Tag - Looks like its your fabric casing on the frame where the belt rubs on it? That's a known wear point, especially for frames that have seen a lot of use. 500d is rough on packcloth with a hard/sharp surface behind it. Luckily it doesn't effect performance of the frame. I did take care of...
Morning Pinewood. I just sent you a dm and would like to send you some k clips. If anyone else is running into high shipping costs, please reach out to me. Promise we aren't trying to make it difficult for you guys to buy our gear!
What Bill said. As long as you respect the pack's limitations in durability and treat it accordingly, it was a great pack and ahead of it's time. We saw some of the same packs repeatedly come through our repair department for patches because dudes were treating it like a cordura pack or lived...
No problem Quetico. You definitely have a modded Spike camp, I put a center zip down the center of the 14er main body along with a zippered lid and a very different back panel. Let me know if you find any other oddball packs!
_Quetico77
That looks like a customer modified Spike Camp (doesn't have the zippered lid of the Express). Someone added molle to the sides and replaced the lumbar pad materials for something more grippy. The brown triangle in the middle of the lumbar pad looks to be Brown ToughTek, which wasn't...
