Mine are close enough that under most lighting you can’t tell that they’re different. If you don’t know to look for it you even miss it under the other lighting... but once you see it it does tend to pop out.

Unfortunately ranger green is like wolf grey in that no 2 manufacturers seem to use the same color. I guess inconsistencies are part of the game

The RG on my Urban Ruck is definitely not the same RG as the belt pouch I have mounted on it. It’s close enough for me, but ironically probably not close enough for government work

You definitely want something to stiffen the bag. I’ve got an Omni Frame Sheet in mine (the one designed for the Urban Zippy). If you’re using it as an outdoors pack that’s a cheaper option than the sliders- it’s also stiffer which is either good or bad depending on your perspective.

It’s not big, but it is roomy. I would say that it is definitely a 25L pack. I put a large belt pouch on the face of mine.
It’s short but gets its volume with width and depth. Personally I love that it’s short. Someone somewhere has posted that he can even use a lumbar pack while wearing the...
The UZ is great. Get the frame sheet for sure. IMHO it’s pretty short so it can ride high if you want. Bottle pockets are awesome and so are the side doors.

I like Panel loaders. Big fan of the Hill People Aston House Backcountry, Kifaru Marauder. I’m working hard at justifying a Kifaru Tarryall. I think the hybrid panel/top loader is awesome: great access and a top pocket.

Looks like it’ll be at it best on a frame. If you’d be using it mostly off frame I’d think a Tarryall would be a better choice

I’d forgot about the Urban Zippy. It’s my go-to bag for all things that don’t involve a laptop. With a proper sleeve it could rock.

The Doorgunner is apparently not an option for any laptop bigger than 13”. I’ve seen posts that indicate it’s too narrow. The Antero isn’t the best laid out for laptop carry, but it works if you add a laptop sleeve. The Urban Ruck is nice, but the solid cordura back makes a lot of sweat.

I’m seeing a few people say that they like the Exo bag and Kifaru frame- can you put an Exo bag on a Kifaru frame to get the best of both worlds?
