How long does everyone wait for a product to come back in stock before moving on to the next best thing?
Back in August I reached out to Kifaru asking about (Medium in RG) lost park parka pants and they said they hoped for them to come back in stock within a month or two. I’ve talked to them a...
I’ve never seen the need for one, but a scope shade does wonders when you’re practically shooting into the sun. Other than that, the need hasn’t arose for me.
I’d go option 3. Use your cash and upgrade your current chest binos. I started with a hundred dollar spotting scope and upgraded to a mid tier spotter and now only run a Swaro 95mm ATX. From using a range of spotters I’ve found upgrading your chest binos to a top of the line model gives a far...
I use a swaro ATX 95 and use only the stay on case. I find I use it far more since it just stays on and I don’t have to mess with anything. With the eye piece it adds a good amount of protection and super easy to put on and off. The objective cover has effectively replaced the plastic cap and...
I’m running the NL as well. I use the included covers but when I’m in game and putting them back and forth a lot into my bino harness (such as on a stalk) I just don’t put them back on. My bino harness has a soft material on the inside and I don’t worry about the softer rubber causing issues.
I like the 701 for what I use it for. It does what I need and more as a solver. I think the delta watch is much more of a cool factor than practical from what I’ve seen. I still use a kestral though. I like being able to set two different winds so I know my wind speed drift and my max gust...
How tall are you and how do you carry your bow? The longer the stabilizer the more likely it is to hit stuff and get stuck on brush. The 12 will allow you to use less weight for the same reward.
I ran the swaro 15x for many years and wouldn’t switch to another pair of 15x. I sold mine right before the NL came out. You can find the HD on the forums at a good deal and I doubt you’d have to spend the extra 700 to find a pair. Having 10x and 15x makes a huge difference and you’ll love the...
As for a bag, on day hunts I used the Stryker XL. It has plenty of room for day trips and that includes carrying a 95mm with a RRS tripod(though the tripod gets strapped to the slot between the frame and main bag.) I would get a few if the smalle light weight pull outs. A medium and small patch...
Yes and no. If you have the tent zipped up fully, with no ventilation, the the outer wall can get condinsation. The inter tent wall kept me dry though. That’s assuming your on grass or something akin. It you’re on rock I would be less concerned. If you have any sort of wind and have the vents...
I’d suggest the kifaru slick bag. It’s a well proven bag. Sitka just came out with a synthetic bag which looks promising but would be new gear. Lastly, the marmot trestles elite bag looks promising.
I’d suggest the hillie. The nallo is a great tent for Colorado that I used for many years there. It’ll last you a long time and cuts the wind well if you are exposed. Having the walls go to the ground also made it a solid tent for later season hunts.
